ANN ARBOR, MI – The First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor has pledged to become a sanctuary congregation.

The church, located at 4001 Ann Arbor-Saline Road just outside Ann Arbor in Lodi Township, is joining a growing sanctuary movement to help undocumented immigrants.

“In a time when upholding human rights has become secondary to scoring political points, we can’t stay silent,” Senior UUAA Minister Douglas Wadkins said in a news release.
