It is sometimes difficult to track NRA money to representatives in Congress because of PACs and related entities. Check out this graphic WaPo which shows that Rep. Tim Walberg from Michigan’s 7th district received $12,000. An advertisement in the New York Times on February 21, by everytown.org, reports him receiving $96,000. Either number is the highest Michigan donation. In 2012, he received an “A” grade from the NRA , has and received more money since then. He voted in December for the federal “Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act,” a top priority for the National Rifle Association and other gun-rights groups, which essentially creates a national gun carrying permit. It passed 231–198. Fourteen Republicans opposed it, but not Representative Walberg. -Washington Post, New York Times, The Hill, and Politico
