President Donald Trump on Tuesday escalated his criticism of the Federal Reserve, calling the central bank his “biggest threat” because it is raising interest rates “too fast.”
In an interview with Fox Business, Trump acknowledged the Fed’s political independence and said he hasn’t spoken with its chairman, Jerome Powell. But he said, “I’m not happy with what he’s doing because it’s going too fast.”
