Research done here in Michigan shows that informing prospective voters that whether they vote or not is public information, and that it will be shared with their neighbors, both dramatically increases their likelihood of voting more than any other method… and that it makes them angry.
“It proved to be the most effective intervention ever…” said Todd Rogers, a professor of public policy at Harvard who specializes in education and voting behavior.
The app Vote With Me, and others like it, will pull up your contact's voting information. It will show if they showed up to the polls in recent years.
