Last week the Department of Homeland Security called on Congress to eliminate the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA). This act was recently reauthorized as part of the Violence Against Women Act in 2013.
Eliminating the law will make it nearly impossible for children and families fleeing persecution and violence to find a safe haven here in the United States.
Contact your Members of Congress today to ensure that they continue supporting this legislation and reject DHS's plan to eliminate it. This is the most important human trafficking legislation enacted to date.
