There's a lot to celebrate even as we measure the job that still awaits. We can all be proud of our Three Amazing Michigan Women in Leadership!
“Those Women in Michigan”–Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney General Dana Nessel, and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson — all Democrats -— have garnered national reputations through their refusal to back down to anyone, including President Trump. On coming into office they were confronted with massive floods, a pandemic, protests, accusations of election fraud, a kidnapping plot, and death threats. Working together, their grit and professionalism have catapulted them into the national media and onto the national stage.
John Sellek, president and CEO of Harbor Strategic Public Affairs, says of these three women, “They never back down from sexist attacks, the big three. They never take a moment of grief. And then they’re equipped to shift back to the policy agenda they’re promoting at that time.” https://tinyurl.com/MLive-Women
