Don't miss this 2-day event! America Without Racism: Making the Vision a Reality
Friday, February 5 – Saturday, February 6.
Join the Ypsilanti District Library and Washtenaw Faces Race in a free, virtual, two-day community conversation imagining a world free of racism and explore what must be done to create this future. The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically exposed inequities caused by long-standing racism in the United States, revealing that the need for change is more urgent than ever. Experts will talk about the fundamental changes needed in the institutions of policing, work, healthcare, and the commons, with interludes by local musicians, poets, and artists. The event will conclude with a visioning session for all. Read details and register online, or by calling (734) 82-4110 x1385. Friday, 6–9 pm and Saturday, 1–4 pm.
