URGENT Short-Notice Volunteer Request! County Public Health landed a large number of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses late this week, especially targeting African American and Latinx community members. Residents
50+ years old can get vaccinated at a drive-through popup clinic from 2pm – 7 pm on March 24 at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, 2345 Tyler Rd, Ypsilanti (West Willow Neighborhood).However, residents need information — very fast!!! — to reserve a vaccination slot for this clinic. We intend to blanket every door in West Willow with the correct flier — Sunday morning, March 21st — so people can call to reserve their initial shot AND followup. Volunteers will meet at New Covenant, receive materials and instructions, and leave for 2-hour shifts that begin between 9 am and noon. ***Please call 734.272.2275 (James McCargar) to volunteer***
