Michigan will release COVID relief funds (you called, they finally listened!)
After two and a half months of haggling, the Republican controlled state houses have finally agreed to release $4.25 billion ($3.45 billion of federal funds for COVID relief plus additional state monies.) Unfortunately, nearly half the money earmarked for schools will
only be released if the Governor relinquishes her control over the opening and shutting of schools and school sports. But finally, once the bulk of the federal Covid relief funds is released, there will be help for families lacking food and shelter as well as for schools. Additionally, there will be funds for unemployment benefits, and aid to small businesses. – Michigan Resistance
