Celebrating Black women leading the way in today’s social justice activism
Today, women’s voices and perspectives are critical to a broader struggle for human rights and Black women’s continued strides in the
civil rights movement are no longer in the shadows. The modern women’s narrative has gained and lost the wider populace support, but overall it has led to a society that is pushing toward acceptance and inclusivity, and is more comfortable with successful women leading than in the past. As we honor women throughout the month of March, let’s venerate those who paved the way, continue to support and celebrate the living legends among us.
