May 20 – 23, 6–8:30 pm: Anote’s Ark: Film screening and panel discussion
In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Ann Arbor chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby will host a virtual screening of the award-winning films, Anote’s Ark and Love Note to an Island. Both films explore the impacts of the climate crisis on the Pacific island nation of Kiribati, whose survival is threatened by sea-level rise. Stream the films anytime between May 20–23, then, on Sunday, May 23, participate in a screening and panel discussion with filmmaker, Lulu DeBoer, and returned Peace Corps volunteers who served in Kiribati, Brady Fergusson and Dr. Michael Roman.
