Calls with MI Resistance: Stop the ban on funding gun buyback programs

Tuesday.   Recently, House Republicans passed bill HB5479, preventing local municipalities and law enforcement from using public funds for voluntary gun buyback programs. This bill essentially makes it harder for communities to keep their residents safe from gun violence. The bill has yet to reach the State Senate so let’s be proactive and tell these key GOP senators that this bill is harmful to communities and provides no benefit to any one.
