WE WON THE VOTE IN 1920 – DON’T GIVE IT UP NOW!!!                        Our current postcard campaign educates women voters in Michigan to let them know about ballot initiatives that could affect their ability to vote. “Protecting Voters Rights” and “American Citizens for Voting” petitions could suppress the vote of the 2.2 million married women in Michigan whose birth certificates do not match their current names. These women will have to pay to get extra documentation to vote. We need to stop people from signing these petitions, and let women know their right to vote could be at stake. 

Voters Not Politicians are leaders in educating folks about these petitions, with their Decline to Sign campaign. We’re happy to be working together, to spread the word with our postcards. 

Join us at HOMES Campus at 112 Jackson PLAZA (not Jackson Road) on December 11th at 4 PM to write postcards for two current voter education efforts.

The first is to send postcards to Michigan women, warning them they could lose their voting rights if they sign a false “Voter ID” petition circulating now. This ballot initiative would require every Michigan voter to prove their citizenship with documents by the 2028 election–and that includes name change documents for married women and others.

We have also ordered 500 postcards from the Turn Out PAC’s program Postcard to Swing States. These postcards are designed to help combat disinformation and make sure voters in states with key elections in 2026 learn how harmful the Trump/GOP agenda is for them. Our postcards will be written to Michigan voters. They will be sending us free postcards, voter lists and instructions.
