Virtual meeting with Senator Stabenow: Federal voting rights

August 3 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Tuesday.  As you probably know, there are two pieces of legislation waiting on Senate action regarding federal voting rights, the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. I am part of a group of Michiganders who are participating in virtual (Zoom) visits with our senators’ offices to promote the passage of these pieces of legislation. The visits are being organized by the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC) and my role is that of State Outreach Coordinator for Michigan. We are trying to get as many people as possible to participate in the two zoom calls. Will you please join me on the calls?

In order to participate in either/both meetings, you must register for the zoom using the links above – please register as soon as possible!

Even though our senators are both co-sponsors of both bills, it is extremely important for them to see how strongly their constituents feel about this issue – the more pressure they feel, the stronger they will advocate. You do not need to be part of the Religious Action Center to be part of the zoom calls – you don’t need to be Jewish either – we are just trying to get as many faces on the zoom screen as possible to show our senators that voting rights are important!

Thanks so much, in advance – and please feel free to share this information with anyone you know who is passionate about the issue of voting rights for all Americans.

I hope to see your registrations soon!
