Wednesday, August 27. Community Action Plan Feedback Opportunity – Public Comment Period August 10-27.
The Community Action Plan (CAP) is a vital roadmap that outlines how Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) eligible entities deliver services to those most impacted by poverty. Through the CAP, needs and resources in the community are assessed, and priorities, goals, and strategies are set to ensure that families and individuals can overcome barriers and move toward self-sufficiency. CSBG funds support a wide range of services, including assistance for low-income households, homeless families and individuals, migrant or seasonal farm workers, and elderly residents. By focusing on removing obstacles and solving problems, the CAP helps create pathways to stability and opportunity.
The Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED) is currently seeking public feedback on the 2025 CSBG Community Action Plan. Community input ensures the plan reflects real needs and solutions. Feedback is open from August 10 – August 28.
